Our Care Team

Welcome to Woodlands Lodge

As Home Manager, I am proud and privileged to work at Woodlands Lodge and to have been given the opportunity to work in a career that I love. Having worked in care for 20 years, I have progressed within my role to Home Manager by gaining qualifications to achieve The Registered Managers Award and Level 4 in Adult Social Care.

As well as gaining experience working with the elderly, including those living with Dementia, I have discovered a great passion for helping provide an excellent standard of care in all aspects of the care sector.

At Woodlands Lodge, we offer a welcoming home with a range of high-quality amenities and activities. We like to make sure our residents’ opinions are voiced and heard, encouraging all staff and residents to bring new ideas for us to include in our programme of care to improve well-being and help build friendships to ensure you continue to live your life to the full.

Together, along with our lively social calendar, we will help you keep your mind and body stimulated and invigorated. Plus, Woodlands Lodge works closely alongside the community with a focus on building friendships and developing interaction with local schools, clubs and Churches.

Our Lodge has been specifically designed to provide high-quality Residential Care and Residential Dementia Care. Our 24-hour services are provided within a warm and friendly environment with a care team that will welcome you into your new home.

All who are interested in the care that’s offered here at Woodlands Lodge are welcome to drop in and visit by appointment, give us a call or visit our Facebook page.

Activities & Wellbeing Team

Our in-house Activities & Wellbeing team is committed to making our residents’ home a happy and vibrant place to live by offering a fun-filled programme. Each day residents have the opportunity to participate in activities that inspire communication, social interaction, movement, reminiscence and more.

Our Activities & Wellbeing team builds strong relationships with our residents, tailoring activities to their preferences, hobbies and interests. They also arrange regular visits to parks, markets and shops in and around the local area as well as organised excursions to places of interest.

Care Team

Our care team is dedicated to delivering compassionate, person-centred care to our residents, 24 hours a day. They ensure residents are able to make the most out of each day whilst promoting independence and creating a warm and welcoming environment.

Whether it’s providing support and companionship or specialist medical dementia and nursing care, they are always on hand to help.

Kitchen Team

Our kitchen team understands the importance of a well-balanced and nutritious diet. Therefore, they only use the finest seasonal produce available to make each meal the best it can be.

They take into consideration residents’ preferences and cultural or dietary requirements whilst providing choice and variety. Plus, our team is always on hand to make any refreshments for residents & guests on request.

Regional Support Team

As the Athena Healthcare Group is a nation-wide care home provider, our Managers and their teams benefit from the additional support of a regional support team.

Our regional support team consists of an HR Manager, Marketing team, Regional Manager & Lodge Relations Managers who offer any help, assistance and guidance they can to ensure all teams feel well supported.
